My first topic  (Bang head) dedicated to 'delta wings' and other 'wing oddities'.

A few years ago, I made a 3D combination of SU-37 and Viggen delta wings.

I called it Harpoon, cause with good STOL capabilities, it would make a great
long range interceptor for the NAVY.

Viggen canard was blended with the Flanker's apex, while its delta wing was lowered.
Viggen main undercarriage was preferred to prevent tail strike at high AOA.

Flanker vertical tail planes were moved like in the T-10 prototype.

(SU-37 and Viggen parts are original model data from Logic-Wizard: http://logic-wizard.hp.infoseek.co.jp/fms_e.htm)

Nifty stuff EB.

A minor note, the Russians have a project for a long-range interceptor called Harpoon already.

Looks good, like the delta-canard layout on the Flanker. Thumbs Up

The Harpoon (Garpun) was a MAI students project for an aircraft to replace the MiG-31.  Has a very similar layout to your Viggen/Flanker.  Allanger were due to make a kit of it before they went bust, I think there was a rumour that Zvezda might release it.  Here's a link to a site with more details & where I got the pic from:

Just had a thought EB, if you used the body of a Su-34 Fullback, you'd have an aircraft that would look even closer to the Harpoon.

Oh yes, you are right Mossie! Thumbs Up

I'll try it!

The front view, reminds me another plane that I have made...
It looks like an ugly VTOL Flanker with a third central engine,
2D vectoring nozzles, and tandem delta wings.

Here is my old original sketch and unfinished CGI.

The Red One is the Stealth/Flanker, I called it Sabre.
The Blue One is the VTOL Flanker, I called it Trident.

Brilliant stuff EB,

I've definitely got some big love for both of those.  They have a vaguely 'Macross' look about them which definitely adds to the cool factor.

Here is a supersonic evolution of the Alpha Jet.

It's a delta LCA fighter re-engined with a pair of new generation LARZAC + reheat...

I called it, Delta Jet.

Looks very snappy EB, a bit like a 'Rafale-lite'.
