the Ouragan II.
Basically it's a float plane,
Congratulations EB, this is a delicious new aircraft! Wub
Just a detail: why do you call it 'float plane'? huh
Explanations: the French word 'hydravion' translates into 2 English words: 'floatplane'="hydravions à flotteur" (plane upon float, either 2 main ones, Supermarine S.6B, or one central one, Nakajima Rufe) AND 'flying boat'="hydravion à coque" (hull-aircraft with a marine fuselage, either holding wing, Martin Mariner, or with a pylon holding wing, Consolidated Catalina - no matter if they have little floats at wing tips for balance). I think the Ouragan II is a flying boat like the Mariner, no? Or do you prepare a (retractable?) floatplane variant? rolleyes Grin
Congratulations anyway, dear EB. And thanks for making the flying-boat/floatplane jet-fighter family live again, decades after the Convair/Saro and Russian failures...

Love the Ouragan II, it reminds me of the Avpro Marauder:

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Thanks! Grin

Tophe: The floats at wing tips are for balance and I was planning a single retractable hydro-ski (SeaDart or Saunders-Roe P.121).  rolleyes
Mossie: Yes, both designs share some similarities, I have made a search and found more info about a WIG version of the Marauder on the SecretProjects forum. Thanks for the pic of the fighter version! Grin

Edit: Some pictures from the past that explain the origins of the Ouragan II.

Regards,

EB

Thanks! Grin

After the single engined Gerfaut F1, Nord-Aviation released a more powerful interceptor powered by two new generation turbo-ramjets.
Still using tandem delta wings, the new design was called Gerfaut IV or Super-Gerfautevil

Tophe: I like your Twin-Pou or Pou II-II or Double-Pou (eh.. eh..)!   Grin Thumbs Up

I do particularly like the Gerfaut IV! Wub  The Pou II & II-II are cute, you just want to pat them on the head & tickle them under the chin!
