I hadn't visited this thread in a while, and I wish I had because of the way HoOmAn's request has been handled.

First I want to say to you, HoOmAn, that your request was waaaay too complicated. The thing that probably annoyed some people here, and with reason, is that this topic is about "General comments", and you were just asking too much specific info. Although they are all very nice ideas and certainly worth photoshopping and/or modelling in your list, I think no-one here has an off-hand knowledge of where to look for all of these at once in a matter of three clicks.

I regret that some of the answers that were given to you (or lack thereof) were a little snappy, almost rude sometimes, but it's true that you really need to make good use of the search engine FIRST, and then when you haven't found something you can ask about certain projects specifically.

This being said, it's great to have you around and I'm sure your ideas will inspire some creative work around here!

Intrigued by Clave's Super Defiant...... I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in illustrating...... Supermarine 305?

It just might look super-cool when done to comparable level of details...... perhaps even more so when what-if features, such as Malcolm Hood and wing-mounted forward firepowers, are added, too......

If anyone would tackle it, thanks in advance.

You know what I would think would rock?  Either an F4D or F5D design but with the canopy and nose of the F11F Tiger.

On the Alternative History forum I've been working on a thread about a WHIF Air-Force and various aircraft for it.  With that said, I would love to see some actual line-drawings of my WHIF-creations made.

One of which is called the F-1 Eagle.  It's basically supposed to be a fictitious contemporary of the P-59 and Gloster Meteor.  The fuselage and canopy is based on the Hawker Sea-Hawk and Hawker Hunter (most of the fuselage like the Sea-hawk, but with the longer nose of the Hunter). The wings, and tailplane would be based on the P-51D, the tailfin either on the L-133 or the P-51D.  The idea was to mount two engines of the J-31 size in the F-1 Eagle's wing-roots, which would have swept-intakes in the root which would conform reasonably with the P-51D's wing-shape.  Overall wing-area would be 350 square feet.

I just thought of something completely and totally awesome!!!

You know how the F8U-3 was basically a bigger, faster, more awesome follow-on to the F8U-1/F8U-2?  I was thinking of some kind of F5D-3 "Super Skylancer"  afro

Consider the following.
- The F5D was two tenths of a mach number faster than the F8U-1/F8U-2
- The F5D could outmaneuver the F8U at all altitudes, especially above 25,000 feet (The F8U-3 Super-Crusader's maneuverability was said to be similar to the F8U-2)
- The F5D looked cooler than the F8U.

Here's my idea
- Scaled up F5D, length increased to 58-feet with a longer nose and a streamlined bubble-cockpit
- Enhanced area-ruling
- Flattened fuselage (either via blending the spine in with the fuselage, or flattening the spine)
- Forward raked intakes
- Flush mounted Sparrows (3 or 4), and 4 Sidewinders
