1/ Truncating the resin Fw 189B for my triplex Fw 189 ABA, I had a twin-boom tail available.
2/ Building the Saab J.29Z, I had available one external starboard wing and one external port.
3/ In my collection of kits to build, I had an Italeri OH-58A Kiowa (Bell 206 Jet Ranger).
4/ I have put all that together, with cyanoacrylate glue, shaken and got:
This is very serious, almost JMN job
: all the scales are the very same, perfectly 1/72 all...

* For the name: I had considered Twin-Ranger but it seems the Bell team has stolen and Copyrighted this name several times (for the 206L/206LT/400/407) without even featuring twin-booms
! Scandal…
Just because of two engines, or a two-direction rotor, or any other wrong reason. So, the name for mine has been Twin-boom-Ranger.
* For the build: I have a problem 10 years after buying this kit and having changed home twice, with 3 of the glazed parts missing. I guess I will have putty everywhere then painting large black windows.
* For the final aspect: the goal is not an helicopter (rotor blades are too big for the room available). I consider a glider, but the rear pod would be difficult to understand, or a pusher propeller, maybe from my Westland Whirlwind turned single-engine…

Okay, with those stubby wings my first thought was 'autogyro'. Give it a pusher engine and some sturdy landing gear, and you've got a winner!

Tophe that's one very cool little twin-tail! I think Mr Rat-San is correct in suggesting a pusher engine. Another idea would be to scratch two jet-pods out of old drop tanks. Either way, you've got another wonderful and unique aircraft to add to the collection!

Thanks for this suggestion: you are very right, adding a pusher propeller does not mean I must discard the rotor...
Well, as the rotor is too big for me, I just have to turn it small, with more blades, and that will provide company to my Lego twin-boom high-speed-rotor helicopter!
Thanks

Simply cutting the blades in 2 could make it, simply, almost... I just need to install a warning on the door: DANGER for JMNs (of heart attack)...

The putty filling of the missing windows is done, the propeller and rotor are glued, the first layer of the red paint is on… Completion expected soon.
Note that the rotor and propeller, rotating at the same high speed, are intermeshing…
My wife suggests me to keep the glazed parts clear on this one, I guess I will. This way, this twin-boom autogyro will be closer to my twin-boom Lego helicopter.
Outside, the church bell is ringing...

Tophe, that is one of the most imaginative builds I've ever seen! You are a very innovative modeller sir! I just love how you've combined elements of such diverse aircraft on this build. My hat is off to you!

I;d love to see this and the Cobra/Bronco build side-by-side! Fantastic stuff! Perhaps this was the prototype and was developed into the Broncobra?
My profuse apologies to whosever build that is, I love it!, I just don't remember who you are! So sorry!
