Had an accident last night......................................and this happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Drink

I don't know about you guys, but I REALLY like this one! Grin

I've decided, in regards to the story, that four of VF871 Squadron's Phantoms wear this disruptive camouflage scheme and all have a girls name on the intake, both port and starboard sides. All four names start with the letter "C", hence "Candice". The other three are Cristina, Claire and Charlotte.

Cheers

Richard

OK guys, here's the first of the Japanese Navy FGR.2 Phantoms.

Eventually there will be a total of 24 of these Japanese Phantoms making up the Attack Wing on board the JNS Akagi (ex-USS Midway). Each will have 'nose art' on the intake area, where you see "Godzilla" on this example. The sister squadron will be camouflaged in the blue on blue scheme as seen on the Mitsubishi F.2.

VF-721 Mizuchi is responsible for air to air coverage of the fleet and the sister squadron VF-??? is responsible for air to ground engagements, however as necessity requires both squadrons can intermix roles.

Godzilla has shot down a combination of 2 F-14 Tomcats, 2 F-4E Phantoms and 2 UAV's. Blink

Greg (GTX) is currently working on the story for Operation: Hormuz Shield. Bow

Hope you like it. huh

Cheers

Richard.

The F-4 Phantom looks stunning. Really, really nice job. I love the low-vis tail design and roundel especially.

Now for some critiques! The big one is that I think there should be more Japanese on it. As it stands, the plane could be US Navy except for the "Akagi" on the spine, particularly with the "NAVY" and "VF 721" on the tail. JASDF F-4s are a good source for the markings and I can help if you need me too. Just drop me a PM. The other is related to that. Godzilla was the American name for the Japanese kaiju Gojira ゴジラ, which is much more likely what they would put on the plane's side.

Keep up the great work, though. I love it! Thumbs Up

You're absolutely right Talos Thumbs Up  I must change the name to Gojira to better represent the original Japanese name. I might make it in Katakana on the port side and english (Gojira) on the starboard side. You're also right about it looking far too much like a USN Phantom. I'll PM you about that and discuss some changes.

Cheers
