Boeing 2626/100

With the European states becoming rich and powerful in the late 1930's, German aviation blitzed the field. Messerschmitt developed the first jet airliner, the Me-2626 by 1944, opening Europe to fast economic travel.
By 1946, the US was very interested in the new jet transport, and Boeing signed the contract to build and develop the airliner, with the mother company.
In the Fall of 1947, Pan American Airlines, had the first delivery, soon followed by American, TWA and Delta.
Seen here, the 2626/100 series taken in 1948.

Model.... 1/72nd Revell Me-262A with the cockpit removed, and the nose built on, and the cockpit painted over the new construction.

This is the Boeing 2626/100 somewhere in the US. The control tower is a facade, set at about 1/100th scale.
