OFFICIAL WHAT-IF CONTEST

Any genre, any subject (military or otherwise), any nationality.

Primary objective/challenge:

Take an existing kit or combination of kits and rework the initial subject into a finished piece that
takes on a scale other than it was originally intended. One rule is that the subject must include a
base kit of a known scale. Scratchbuilt and/or kitbashed add-ons are perfectly acceptable.

Examples:

A regular 1:35 tank is reworked with smaller hatches, guns, multiple turrets, etc. to become a 1:72 scale "Super Tank;"
A 1:72 B-1 Bomber is reworked with a cockpit/canopy and landing gear/ordnance from other kits to
become a completely original 1:48 scale fighter;
A 1:600 Destroyer is reworked to become a 1:144 Cutter;
A 1:144 B-58 Hustler is turned into a 1:72 fighter-bomber.

Not only a test of creativity and imagination (to see a potential in a subject others would miss) but is also
a challenge of problem-solving skills and craftsmanship (to rework plastic, putty and parts into a new subject).

Can be any genre (armor, naval, air, sci-fi) but must be an original concept overall (not completely rebuilding some existing thing or concept that has been created by another, whether from the "real" world or a work of fiction);
Must utilize existing kit(s) and/or kit component(s) in a scale other than that for which said kit(s) was/were originally intended;
The subject must include a base kit of a known scale;
Scratchbuilt and/or kitbashed add-ons are perfectly acceptable;
Have fun and don't worry about being perfect or what anyone else might think!
